We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing. - Benjamin Franklin
At some point in the past few months I stopped playing, I stopped being silly. I like to play…so I’m going to! I used to do things because they made ME happy. Because they made me feel alive! Unconventional things like bowling team captain or winter guard captain. Or like having a duel on the quad with a friend. I am going to have fun again! I am rejuvinating and overhauling my life. I am putting in old friends and new friends, splashing in some knitting in my fanny pack, dancing, basketball (HA!!!), and singing with a friend.
I feel alive. Mock my sillies if you will. But I guarantee you’ll have more fun if you try. To avoid having fun because you fear embarassement is to be a slave to your pride. LIVE!
