9/4/10-Adventures as: a physical science student

I knew I had chosen the right replacement for Astronomy when my first class e-mail started with this sentence…
Welcome to (Course Name Here )
We are excited that you have chosen John Brown University for your study of this material, and look forward to serving you throughout these next several weeks.
Oh yes. This is definitely the science class for me. I then purchased my textbook for the class and was thrilled to pieces when, upon opening, was greeted by a little sunshine smiling up at me. Literally. And little parrots and mice and little animated people who give me helpful hints to the material. The words are BIG, the assignments are small, and the class is just a delight. My teacher teaches through example. Which really just means that we sit there and watch him spray the front row, siphon various liquids, and crush things with simple air pressure. We had a class vote using Heads up 7-uptechniques. Mr. Siemons then said “I’d like you all to close your eyes and bow your heads. I will then play “Come as You Are” softly in the background. When you’re ready. Come to the front…just kidding. LET’S VOTE!”
This is the start of a beautiful relationship.
